Jaime McDonald

Jaime McDonald

CAAF Residency, January – March 2021

We are please to welcome Jaime McDonald as our very first artist to the new nvrlnd. Residency.

During Jaime’s residency she will be furthering her research and practice on the queer and Metis body in relation to social structures through the use of industrial materials. The proposed work will be a collection of different materials highlighting Jaime’s personal relationship with mental health, intergenerational trauma, and sexuality. It will be an exploration of different media, finding what portrays these ideas in a fair light. Ultimately, Jaime plans to write a paper based on her experience as a queer and Metis woman in relation to social structures and settler histories.
