Calgary Allied Arts Foundation will be hosting a Pop Up Celebration site for Alberta Culture Days 2018. Please join us for the following activities and events on Friday, September 28 on the 4th floor of cSPACE King Edward

CAAF Connection: Studio Residents’ Exhibition
The exhibition will be the first of its kind in CAAF’s history, exhibiting the work by 13 previous CAAF studio residents from September 25 to September 29th. 

Open Studio with Kaitlynn Copithorne
CAAF’s current artist resident, Kaitlynn Copithorne, will host an Open Studio in Suite 435 from 4:00 to 8:00.

Art Projects with Contemporary Calgary
Volunteers will lead children and families through art projects based on artworks in the exhibition. The young artists will learn new techniques and have the opportunity to create their own artwork to take home. Activities will run from 11:00 to 2:00.

CAAF Connection: Exhibition Tours
Tours of the exhibition will describe CAAF’s background, who the artists are and what their artwork is. These will take place at 12:30 and 3:30.

Performance by Sarah Van Sloten
Join previous CAAF resident, Sarah Van Sloten for story time! We will be reading stories, learning rhymes, and singing songs. All young children, toddlers and babies are welcome (with their caregivers), as well as anyone else interested in joining in! Toys and books to share will be provided for a period of playtime at the end of the event. Sarah’s performance will run from 11:00 to 11:30.

CAAF Connection: Studio Residents’ Exhibition Reception
Everyone is invited to celebrate the exhibition with CAAF and the artists from 6:00 to 8:00. Artists will be in attendance, there will be artist performances and refreshments will be served.
