CAAF Residency @cSPACE, September and October 2018

Suite #435 – 1721 29 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2T 6T7

Open Studio: Friday, September 28 from 4:00 to 8:00pm for Alberta Culture Days

Kaitlynn Copithorne’s illustrative work focuses on traditional folklore and the intersection of the supernatural world and the mundane. Her intent for the duration her residency is to create an original illustrated storybook that will be hand bound, with the text and illustrations created entirely by silkscreen printing. The book will be thematically based on the folklore and tradition of witchcraft in Early Modern Britain, and will feature characters based on animals traditionally associated with witches.
