Emily Promise Allison and Sophie-Anne Bélisle use physical literacy and object knowledge to build partly scripted, partly improvised performative gestures reliant on the duo’s mental interconnectivity. The direct result of their shared awareness produces playful sequences of communication; pulling from an invented vocabulary of visual and auditory cues.
On April 1st, 2016, Emily Promise Allison and Sophie-Anne Bélisle initiate their performative residency at the CAAF studio. To begin their activities they will release a snake and a mongoose on different floors of the building. Once they find each other, the residency begins.
