Sequencing
by Cassie Suche
September 9 to December 9, 2021
Gallery 505 is a Window Gallery located in the lobby of 505 – 8th Ave SW
Sequencing includes selected pieces from two recent bodies of work by Cassie Suche. Both modular focused series use simple shapes to explore ideas of unity, differentiation and transition. The pieces were developed over time through material exploration and experimental application techniques.
Cassie Suche is a contemporary abstract artist working in Calgary, AB, Canada.
Her work is distinguishable for its delicate balance of structure and spontaneity, expressed through a visual language of linear and modular forms. Suche takes a highly experimental approach to generating work, focusing heavily on material research and process. Her practice is driven by formal and informal investigations of pattern, logic, and processes observed in nature.
Suche is a graduate from Leeds College of Art in Yorkshire, England and has been commended internationally, showing work across North America and Europe. She is currently represented by Paul Kuhn Gallery (Calgary, AB, Canada) and Ashley Mulvihill (Toronto, ON, Canada).
